As a part-academic but mainly practitioner my thoughts frequently cross boundaries, and academic boundaries at that! One stray journey led me to this blog on social impact analysis.
Social impact analysis is no different from those in local (or central) government attempt to evaluate service delivery mechanisms, or even policy changes. The discussion here, despite the authors mentioned being outside my existing pretty well-read circle of understanding, are largely unknown to me, so I suspect there is a danger of missing some really useful learning by not being aware of them.
