If you want to distribute believable propaganda, then email is apparently the better solution than other social media. This is according to a podcast from Scientific American reporting a paper from Human Communication Research Volume 37, Issue 2, pages 255–274, April 2011, by R. Kelly Garrett entitled “Troubling Consequences of Online Political Rumoring“.
This may do a lot to support the new breed of council newsletters that are being produced electronically to save print and distribution costs – that is if they’re email based!
