There’s another weblog about! This time it’s from my own university, De Montfort University (DMU) in Leicester, UK.
DMU has launched a blog, DMU Policy Exchanges, which aims to stimulate a dialogue between researchers, policy makers and practitioners, along with service users and communities around the social challenges we all face.
Not vastly different in intent from my own research instrument, The Great E-mancipator, its stated intent is to bridge the gaps between academics, practitioners and others. There’s also a remark within one weblog post about the use of language, something I wrote about in December. Since my own research has revolved around a Citizen Engagement Exchange, I look forward to how the Policy Exchange works out, but they need to respond to comments a bit quicker than they did to mine (a week and counting!) They also need to promote it a bit more, perhaps?
